SPECIAL BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING – March 14, 2016


Board President, Clinton Lambotte, called the special meeting of the Board of Education of Mission Valley USD #330 to order at 6:00 p.m. in the board conference room in Eskridge, Kansas.  


Board members present were Rex Kraus, Debbi Childers and Jon Deters.  Tom Phillips, Jim Rudeen and Clipper Goodrich were absent.  The superintendent and board clerk also attended.


Tom Phillips joined the meeting at 6:03 p.m.


Clipper Goodrich joined the meeting at 6:05 p.m.


The purpose of the meeting was to complete the second semester superintendent’s evaluation for the 2015-16 year.  


Rex Kraus moved, seconded by Tom Phillips, to go into executive session at 6:16 p.m. to discuss personnel matters of non-elected personnel relating to the superintendent’s evaluation, in order to protect the privacy interests of the individuals to be discussed, and that they return to open session in the same room at 6:31 p.m.  Motion passed 6 to 0.  


The meeting reconvened in open session at 6:31 pm.


Rex Kraus moved, seconded by Tom Phillips, to go into executive session at 6:32 p.m. to discuss personnel matters of non-elected personnel relating to the superintendent’s evaluation, in order to protect the privacy interests of the individuals to be discussed, and that they return to open session in the same room at 6:37 p.m.  Motion passed 6 to 0.  The superintendent also attended.


The meeting reconvened in open session at 6:37 p.m.


Tom Phillips moved, seconded by Rex Kraus, to go into executive session at 6:38 p.m. to discuss personnel matters of non-elected personnel relating to the superintendent’s evaluation, in order to protect the privacy interests of the individuals to be discussed, and that they return to open session in the same room at 6:43 p.m.  Motion passed 6 to 0.  The superintendent also attended.


The meeting reconvened in open session at 6:43 p.m.


Rex Kraus moved, seconded by Tom Phillips, to adjourn the meeting.  Motion passed 6 to 0.  The meeting adjourned at 6:44 p.m.
