I grew up as an Iowa farm kid. Even when we moved to town, we had 10 acres on the edge of town. Therefore, I love the country, animals of all kinds, growing flowers and nature.
When I was in sixth grade, I decided I wanted to be a teacher and I held fast to that idea.
My journey to Kansas started when I attended undergraduate work at Ottawa University. Four years later I was offered a position as fourth grade teacher in Eskridge Kansas and have remained in this district. This is my 34th year in USD 330. Some interesting triva includes: I was hired by George Anshutz in 1979 and now his son, Braden Anshutz, is my superintendent. My first fourth grade class included an ornery boy named Billy Clark and he is now my principal!! CRAZY!!!!!!
I have an adorable, lovable dalmatian named Nibbs and five very independent and unique cats. Their names are: Woodstock, Tipper, Rue Rue, Desi and the newest and silliest one who adopted Nibbs is Bradley. He keeps things quite active.
