New Staff for 2017-2018 School Year

We welcome SHERRI JACOBSON as the new JH Math teacher. Sherri was previously a SPED Para for Mission Valley then transitioned to teaching last semester. Sherri and her husband have three daughters and are neighbors to Mission Valley Schools.

KORI SCHLESENER will be the new Third grade teacher. Kori is a Mission Valley High School graduate, and has a Bachelor’s degree from Emporia State University in Elementary Education. She previously student taught at Meadows  Elementary in Topeka.

KIM MORENO will be the new JH and HS Language Arts teacher. Kim previously taught at St. Mary’s Academy and Topeka High. Kim and her husband recently moved to Eskridge from Silver Lake.

KRISTIE BUTLER will be the new Early Childhood SPED teacher. Kristie previously taught at Sheldon Elementary in Topeka and is currently pursuing a master’s degree from Emporia State University in Early Childhood Special Education and Adaptive Special Education. Kristie resides in Council Grove.

HOLLY SAVAGE will be the new art teacher and Stu-Co rep, replacing Nancy Land. Holly has a Bachelor of Art in Education degree from Eastern Washington University. She previously taught in Goodland. Holly and her husband, Jeff, are new residents to Burlingame.

JEFF SAVAGE will be replacing Cody Witte as the 7-12 Physical Education teacher, summer weights sponsor, head HS football coach and head HS track coach. Jeff received his Bachelor of Education degree from Montana State University. He previously taught in Goodland.

MATT BISNETT will be a new Special Education Para. Matt is a Mission Valley High School Graduate, he was previously a para and coach for Topeka 501 schools. Matt resides in Topeka.

DALENE RILLINGER will transfer duties from SPED Para to Teachers Aide, replacing Joy Ferdinand.

LAUREL RIGGIN is the new SPED Bus Para, she started last year to replace Terry Howey.

DENISE DUDLEY will be adding bus driver to her current duties and will lessen her time as a SPED Para.
