Looking back at a busy February I would like to congratulate our nine Mission Valley students that represented the school at the Wabaunsee County Spelling Bee on Wednesday, February 7th. With an exciting ending, Adaline Bloomfield placed 1st and Alexa McGann placed 2nd.  Both Mission Valley students will move onto the regional spelling bee at Shawnee Heights on Saturday, March 10th at 1:00 PM. Congratulations again and good luck to Adaline and Alexa at the regional spelling bee!

As the third nine weeks comes to an end, parent-teacher conferences are quickly approaching. Last semester we had an outstanding turnout with over 98% conference turnout as teachers have time to discuss academics, behaviors, and positive growth over the school year. I look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday, March 14th and Thursday, March 15th from 4PM - 8PM.

Below are some important calendar events that I would like to draw everyone’s attention to:

March 6th Body Venture

March 9th No School/Teacher In-Service

March 12th - 15th Book Fair

March 14th/15th Parent Teacher Conferences

March 16th-25th Spring Break

March 29th Kindergarten Screening (Contact office for times)

I look forward to continuing to work with the students, parents, and patrons of Mission Valley Elementary. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding Mission Valley

Elementary. Brett Fenton—bfenton@mv330.org.
