The school year is off and running as students and staff are back in a regular routine. Elementary students have been excited the first week of school meeting their new teachers as well as connecting with friends that they might have missed seeing during the summer months. The classrooms are buzzing with learning activities and the hallways are quiet once again as school is back in session. This school year we will be implementing a new reading program, Reading Street, across the Elementary. To prepare for this change our staff has had professional development training in May before departing for the summer break and once again this August. Our staff is excited for this new change as we work to meet the ever changing needs of our students. With the new year off and running below are a few reminders to help this school year continue to go smoothly. Please help us provide a safe environment for our students on a daily basis:
Students that are brought to school at the start of the school day must be dropped off at the North East end of building. Staff is there at 7:40 a.m. to meet your child.
Students are dismissed at 3:30 p.m. Students are to be picked up by their parents at the North end of the building. Elementary students are not to be walking in or across the parking lot unless escorted by an adult.
Students are not to be left at the school unattended to wait for an activity to start. Students must be appropriately supervised by an adult at all times while attending school activities that are after the school day.
Please contact the office by 2:45 p.m. when a change to regular transportation schedule is changed. This will provide us ample time to notify the student and the teacher of the change.
Regularly check our website for district/school updates. www.mv330.org
Visitors to the school must check in with the office and obtain a visitor’s badge.
