This Spring we are trying a BOGO Book Fair, May 3-7, 2021. Our goal is to make sure students have books to read over the summer. Our library does not receive any profit from this fair, just the goal of our students reading.
Research shows that students being read to or reading indepently will see 1.8 million words each year which in turn increases their chances of scoring higher on the standardised tests. In addition to increasing their vocabulary, reading builds empathy for others through sharing feelings and creates stronger relationships, and can positively affect a persons mental & physical health.
Since we are not allowing outside visitors into the school, my suggestion is to use the E-Wallet option. This is a great way to allow your student a limit on the amount they can spend. And, if they don't spend it all, you will only be charged for what they do spend. https://bookfairs.scholastic.c...
