It's that time of year and we are super excited to have our Scholastic Book Fair during Parent/Teacher Conferences. The Book Fair will be open on October 19-21 in the Elementary Library. The Online Store will open on October 18-31. I encourage you to take advantage of the E-Wallet option. Your students Viking Hour Advisors will be contacting you by email, or phone to schedule these very important forms of communication that we offer at Mission Valley Jr/Sr High School. We will have time slots available for you to meet with any of your students teachers throughout the night as well.

The State of Kansas has a new crisis helpline. The Ks Dept of Children and Families is pleased to announce the launch of the Kansas Department of Children and Families Mobile Crisis Helpline. The Helpline offers additional support for eligible Kansans in need during a crisis.
Services are available for all Kansans 20 years old or younger, including anyone in foster care or formerly in foster care. Available resources include:
*Over the phone support and problem solving to help resolve a child’s behavioral health crisis
*Over the phone support with referral to community resources or a recommendation to engage in stabilization services
*In-person support via mobile crisis response if the crisis cannot be resolved over the phone
*In emergency situations, EMS, law enforcement and/or the mobile crisis response unit will be contacted to assist
