With the start of school just around the corner, we wanted to share some information on Kansas House Bill 2299 (Bell to Bell Cell Phone Ban) and what you can expect from the District. The following documents include a summary of the bill, and a flyer of how USD 330 will comply with this new law. If you have any questions please reach out to your respective building administrator, and they will be happy to assist you.

This is a notification of a Special Board Meeting to take place Tuesday, August 4, 2026 Time: 3:00 p.m. in the STEM Room (Room 207). The purpose of this meeting is to plan and set goals for the upcoming school year. It is that of year again already! Open enrollment is now available for all returning students/families. All new students/families will need to enroll in person on Thursday, August 6th from 9 am to 6 pm in the Elementary Lunchroom. Attached are some instructions that will help you with filling out your returning students enrollment forms.

Monday, August 17th is the first day of fall sports practice. All students wanting to participate will need a physical and concussion form turned in before they may practice. Those not playing a fall sport, but planning to participate in a winter or spring sport, are encouraged to turn in physicals as well.

The road to Mission Valley School is under construction. The road is reduced to one-lane traffic in certain spots. Please use caution when going to the school, and allow yourself extra time for the commute. Thank you and Go Vikings!!

Mission Valley FCCLA wrapped up a successful week at the National Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. The members attended leadership training and general sessions along with 10,000 other members and advisers from around the country. They were able to take in some museums and tour Mount Vernon while on the trip. Full contest results are as follows: Grace Johnston 5th in Interpersonal Relationships Challenge Test Gold in STAR Event: Sustainability Challenge; 10th in the Nation Annie Bryan & Keagan Kraus Gold in STAR Event: Sustainability Challenge; 4th in the Nation Harley Rayzor, Rachel Garmon, Lily Dunn Gold in STAR Event: Instructional Video Design; 4th in the Nation Kharia Geurink Silver in STAR Event: Early Childhood Education Abby Packard 1st in Child Development Challenge Test 7th in Teaching Challenge Test 7th in Working with Children Challenge Test Gold in STAR Event: Teach or Train Lily Dunn 2nd in Working with Children Challenge Test Congratulations to these members for an excellent week of leadership and representing Mission Valley!

Weights and conditioning for next week Boys weights and conditioning has been moved to 4:45 immediately before football camp that runs from 6-9 pm. Girls weights and conditioning will still be from 7:30-9 am. If you have questions, please contact the appropriate coaches.

Congratulations to Lily Dunn and Abby Packard for placing in the top three of challenge testing at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. Abby placed first in the Child Development test and Lily placed second in the Working with Young Children test. Way to represent Mission Valley!

The community gathered to celebrate Mr. Clark’s 29 years of service at Mission Valley. We wish him the best!

Please join us this Sunday to celebrate, honor and send Mr. Bill Clark off to his new adventure. He has spent so much time and dedication to USD 330, it’s now time to give it back to him. We hope to see you there!
