There will be three sessions lasting around 40 min each (max) - Preparing for College, Financial Aid/FAFSA, and Meet/Greet w/College Reps & Military Recruiters. ACT Workkeys assessment (online): All Juniors will have the option to take this assessment for FREE this fall on October 19, 2021 from 8:15-12pm. This assessment is often used for admissions in Vo-Tech and community colleges. Signup sheet outside Mr. Hancock's office.

Welcome Back Vikings! We are so excited to see all of our PreK-12 students back in the building tomorrow!
Here are some reminders for arrival and drop-offs at school in the morning.
- Just like last year our doors open at 7:45am. Please do not arrive too early!
- JH/HS Parents please drop your students off at the South doors using the drive through lane between gates as the main entrance is busy with bus drop offs and students who drive to school.
- Elementary students can be dropped off and walk with older siblings from the South doors as well.
- Elementary parents can drop off students at the Northeast entrance to the elementary. Once again the main entrance is reserved for bus drop off.
Thank you for helping keep our parking lots safe every morning as student safety is our #1 priority!
Wow! What an awesome turnout we had last night for our first Back to School Pep Rally! Lots of fun and a great time to meet teachers and friends. Congratulations to all four of our "Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader" contestants, Mr. Clark, Mr. Wild, Mrs. Johnston, and Mr. Hasenbank. And, a great job by our Cheer and Dance Teams!
We are so thankful for all of our community members, but today we want to thank Judy Thomas for her donation to fill our Elementary Book Vending Machine. The Book Vending Machine will be used to encourage students to read and as a reward for students who have a birthday, do something awesome or just because! And for this, we are so very thankful! Thank you Judy!!!
Allen Community College courses begin 8/23/2021. If a student is taking an ACC course at Mission Valley, they are able to pick up the book for these courses in the counselor's office. Please come by & pick up your book so that you can be prepared to start on 8/23.

Mission Valley Jr.-Sr. High School will host their annual ‘All Sport Parent/Athlete Participation Meeting’ on Thursday, August 12th beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Mission Valley North Gym.
This meeting will include a General Session covering: Philosophy of MVJSHS programs; KSHSAA rules and procedures including Eligibility, Transfers and Code of Conduct requirements, including our district’s ‘Drug Testing’ policy.
The Fall sport coaches’ will then host their individual sessions at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Any parent of a Mission Valley Jr.-Sr. High School student (Grades 6-12) that has an interest in participating in athletics during the 2021-22 school year, are strongly encouraged to attend this informational meeting.

Mrs. Masilionis got an experience over the summer. She was able to catch a ride with the Kansas Air National Guard & watch the in-flight refueling of a B-52 Stratofortress. Vikings are flying high no matter what time of the year! #VikingPride #VikingAirForce
