Course scheduling emails are being sent out in regards to the 21-22 Academic Year. The emails have specific instructions in regard to parent/guardian approval of the student's schedule. If there is a class hour that is 'blank' on the schedule, please contact me to help address this. Some hours are blank as I do not intend to make scheduling decisions without student's or parent's input (except for in certain student academic scenarios)., especially if there are options for core or elective classes. To contact me regarding any questions or concerns, my email address is jhancock@mv330.org or you can call me at 866-557-6686 ext 230. We are 5 weeks into our Summer Break and hope our students are taking time each day to read! 1. Reading is like everything, the more you do it, the better you get at it 2. Reading strengthens and builds our brains 3. Reading aids in concentration and focus when children have to sit for longer periods of time to read and helps them do better in school 4. Reading allows children to see and experience the world around them 5. Reading increases a child's vocabulary skills 6. Reading increases a child's imagination 7. Reading increases empathy when they feel what a character in the story is feeling 8. Reading is a cheap and easy form of entertainment to take with you 9. Reading materials are available in a variety of forms and in a variety of places. 10. Reading is relaxing and can calm a stressful mind 11.
