We hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving and are preparing for Christmas, we sure are at Mission Valley! We love the Christmas season and what it means, as a season of giving. We want to share that love of giving with the students. After discussing different ways we can give back, the Topeka Rescue Mission continued to jump out as a place that could benefit from our generosity. We have spoken to the director of the Topeka Rescue Mission, Barry Feaker, who explained that they have a huge need of toys (infants on up) for Christmas presents this Christmas season.
We would like to hold a toy drive in support of the Rescue Mission here at Mission Valley. If you can help us show our students what it is like to give back, we would appreciate it. Please have your child bring any new toy(s) to donate, to their teacher, by Friday, December 13th. We will get the toys dropped off at the Rescue Mission in time for those in need to enjoy a great Christmas!
If you are wondering about other ways you can help, please go to trmonline.org.
If you have any questions regarding our exciting project, please contact Amy Johnston (ajohnston@mv330.org) or Annie Thomas (athomas@mv330.org ).
Thank you in advance for helping us encourage giving back during this Christmas season!!
