Viking Family---On this Memorial Day 2024, USD 330 Mission Valley would like to take time and honor all of those who have gallantly sacrificed for this great nation that we are privileged to live in. Every day we need to remember the words of Charles M. Province:
“It is the Soldier, not the minister
Who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Soldier, not the poet
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer
Who has given us freedom to protest.
It is the Soldier, not the lawyer
Who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Soldier, not the politician
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.”
― Charles M Province
GO VIKINGS----BE PATRIOTIC

Viking Family--In early May, Mission Valley student Wyatt Seastrom (10th grade) , along with seven other boys ages 7 to 16, traveled to Chihuahua, Mexico, for the first Youth Team Mexico vs. Team USA event during their Cinco de Mayo festival at Feria de Santa Rita. They were also joined by one rider from Team Australia. These gentlemen competed against ranked bulls......unfortunately the bulls had a few more victories than these young cowboys.
It is great to have Mission Valley represented globally!
GO VIKINGS!
