Congratulations to Hemi Duehring on being one of KSHSAA Covered's players to watch in soccer!
Duehring was a key part of a Cair Paravel defense that allowed just one goal per game last year and finished the season with nine shutouts. Only three of those goals allowed came in the postseason as the Lions reached the Class 4-1A state championship match for the first time in program history, settling for second after a heartbreaking 1-0 double-overtime loss to Bishop Miege in the finals. Duehring was a first-team All-Kaw Valley Conference selection and had two goals and one assist last season.

Today our HS track team travels to Osage City.

Viking Family---As part of their monthly safety training, this morning the USD 330 Transportation Department received some valuable, life-saving Stop the Bleed training from Eric Coleman from the Wamego Police Department. Stop the Bleed training is crucial because it empowers individuals to recognize and control life-threatening bleeding, a leading cause of preventable death after injury, until professional help arrives, potentially saving lives. Uncontrolled bleeding from trauma is a significant cause of death, especially for people under 44.
