Viking Family---(Corrected Date) Due to the anticipated timing of the significant winter weather tomorrow evening, the USD 330 Board of Education meetings have been rescheduled to Wednesday, January 10th, 2024. There is a special board meeting at 6 p.m. followed by the regular board meeting at 7 p.m. USD 330 Mission Valley will inform you of any other cancellations or changes as the decisions are made. On 1/30/2024, MVHS will be hosting a FAFSA Completion Event for all seniors and their parents. This event will take place in the HS Commons from 2:45 - 6:30 P.M. This event has no official start time as assistance will be provided as needed based upon the progress of each FAFSA application. Financial Aid representatives from local colleges have been invited to assist with this process. Please mark this date on your calendar as the FAFSA has been finally opened up, but throughout this month it is in a 'soft open' due to all of the changes. HS wrestling at Burlington has been postponed until tomorrow. Both boys and girls will be tomorrow and it will be varsity only, no JV.
The JH boys and girls basketball teams finished the regular season tonight with wins over North Lyon County.
They are scheduled to be in action again next Monday at Council Grove for the A team tournament.

Here are some photos of our Chemistry and Physics students. They are working on a lab to calculate friction on various surfaces and a POGIL activity using cards of different colors and sizes to show how iconic compounds form and how chemical formulas are written. GO VIKINGS!

We are so excited to have our first day of classes in the new CTE addition! We are waiting on some desks and chairs to finish off the rooms, but have been able to make it work. What a great day to be a Viking!

Students/Parents: If your student is enrolled in a college course through ACC, please do not pay for your college class(es) just yet. Payment is not required until 1/16/2024. Around 1/7 or 1/8, the new tuition rate should be adjusted and ready for you to view. MVHS will send out another announcement when your course/fee statement is updated to reflect the $50 per credit hour rate. This is only for courses that require payment, anyone taking a CTE class does not need to pay a tuition fee.
