MV hosted Mr. Ron Highland & his wife Mrs. Linda Highland for the career speaker series today. Mr. Highland, a former US Army officer and Veterinarian, spoke about his experiences starting from high school to being a Kansas State Representative for 10 years. Mrs. Highland spoke on her HS career as well as entrepreneurship activities that she participated in. #MVCareers #MVFutures

JH Football game at West Franklin is postponed until Monday at 5:00 due to weather.
The JV football game on Monday, September 25th has been moved to Northern Heights at 6:00 pm.
Individual student pictures will be taken next week! The following is a schedule of what day your student(s) will have their picture taken: Tuesday, September 26th: Jr. High and High School students Wednesday, September 27th: 3rd-6th Grade students Thursday, September 28th: PK-2nd Grade students Order forms will be given at a later date. The HS girls are in action Tuesday at Central Heights and the JH girls are in action on Thursday at West Franklin.

Last night, the JH football team won an exciting game against Lyndon, 20-18.
JH volleyball remained undefeated in league with a great comeback win over Lyndon in the second match.
The A and B team have tournaments at Perry-Lecompton on Saturday.
Both JH football and volleyball are in action again next Thursday at West Franklin.

Spirit week will be October 2nd-6th with homecoming on Friday the 6th. We will share more details as it gets closer.
MV Jr/Sr High School hosted Jana's Campaign today to inform, educate, and empower the students to stand up against domestic violence (in all forms) and be advocates for themselves, & those around them, in order to become great men & great women. #janascampaign #dotherightthing

Students in the Agricultural Structures and Electricity class got an up-close view of the new construction for the CTE building. Drew Deters with BHS, talked about the different types of electrical wiring and its purpose along with other construction techniques and policies. Thank you to BHS for their willingness to share and educate our students at MV! We are lucky to have Drew onsite during this process!
