Topics Included:
-Positive Peer Influences
-Cultural Awareness
-Students For Site Liaison (students volunteering on local site councils)
-Positive Personal Push (students supporting other students)
-Achievement Motivation in Students
All of these presentations were insightful and have realistic beginnings that could lead to effecting positive change in our schools! Very impressive! GO VIKINGS!
MV students got to meet w/Dr. Kevin Cassidy, of Cassidy Orthodontics, & Dental Hygienist Mrs. Kacy Allen (2014 MV grad) for their career speaker event today. They learned about the steps needed to obtain each career & job functions. #cassidyorthodontics #MVcareers #MVcareers
The JH girls basketball team beat Lyndon tonight 35-10. They will play Osage City for the championship on Saturday at Central Heights. The game is scheduled to start at 4:30 if things are running on time.

We have had some additions to our HS boys basketball schedule. There is a C team round robin at Mission Valley on January 28th. There is a JV tournament at Santa Fe Trail on February 4th. There is a JV/C tournament at Perry Lecompton on February 11th.

Mission Valley JH girls basketball team had a big 45-5 win over Central Heights tonight. They are in action again on Thursday at Central Heights against Lyndon. The game is supposed to start at approximately 7:30.
Mission Valley Golden Girls and Crimson Crew are putting on a dance clinic for Pre-K through 6th grade. Dance clinic forms are due this Wednesday, January 11.
The JH league tournament is this week at Central Heights. The girls play Monday and Thursday. The boys play Tuesday and Friday. Both teams will play Saturday.

Our high school wrestlers competed at the Burlington Invitational with Wyatt placing 4th and Jena placing 6th. They are back in action next Saturday at St. Marys.

Our state champion baseball and softball teams were recognized tonight between the basketball games. A big thank you to Senator Brenda Dietrich for coming out and presenting them with their awards.

The Vikings took on West Franklin tonight with the JV and Varsity girls and JV and C boys all winning. They are in action again next Tuesday at Northern Heights.
