VIKING FAMILY----If you were not able to return your 2022 Mission Valley Bond Election Ballot remember that IT IS NOT TOO LATE. You can still deliver by hand your ballot to the Wabaunsee County Courthouse. You can drop it off at the County Clerk's office or you can use the drop box at the Court House but it needs to be there NO LATER than 12:00 p.m. (Noon) tomorrow, August 30th.
Question---Did you know that you can also help out a neighbor and deliver theirs as well? Answer---Yes, you can deliver up to 9 other ballots plus your own. Everyone just needs to remember to sign the outside of their sealed ballot.

ACT District Testing will occur on November 1, 2022. If you would like your 9th-12th Grade student to participate in this testing during school, please have them sign up on the roster outside of Mr. Hancock's office. This test is not FREE. This test is discounted down to around $48 (compared to the regular $56), and all payments for this test will need to go to Marlene at the HS office.

We've got a lot of athletic events coming up in the next few days. HS and JH volleyball scrimmage tomorrow starting at 5:00. HS football has their Jamboree at 4:00 on Friday and cross country has time trials at 9:00 am on Saturday.

Viking Families----The Count Down is on!!!! In 7 days we will know the outcome of the 2022 USD 330 Bond Election. We urge all registered voters of USD 330 Mission Valley to return their ballot by the August 30th Noon deadline.

Parents/Guardians of Seniors: MVHS will be hosting a FAFSA training and completion event on 10/17/2022 from 6p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The FAFSA (Free Application to Federal Student Aid) is available starting 10/1/2022, but if you have never completed one the process can seem overwhelming. The FAFSA training event will help you answer some of those questions as well as provide you with a resource 'tool' that is offered for Free here at MVHS This 'tool' provides a very simplified and 'easy' FAFSA Completion experience. We had a GREAT Open House and Back To School Pep Rally last night! We saw tons of Viking Pride and it was great to see all of our families back in the building! Junior Class of 2024: If you want to take the ACT Workkeys this Fall, there is a sign up outside of my office. I need to know if you want to take the ACT Workkeys by this Thursday, 8/25/2022.
What will the ACT Workkeys do for you?
The ACT Workkeys is an industry recognized assessment that provides you with a certificate that can assist you obtaining employment. The ACT Workkeys also is recognized by all Kansas Vocational Technical colleges for admission acceptance.
Does the ACT Workkeys cost money?
The ACT Workkeys does NOT cost you money if taken during the Fall semester of your Junior year. If you take it any other time, it will cost you money.
When will the ACT Workkeys be administered and where?
The ACT Workkeys will be administered on October 19, 2022 from 8:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It will be administered in the north gymnasium if there are an ample number of students. If not, an alternate location will be used.
Can I get accommodations for the ACT Workkeys?
Yes, just work with your school counselor to get these accomplished.
