Mission Valley FCCLA had a fabulous showing at State Leadership Conference! Ava was inducted as a new Peer Education member. Clara was installed as the new District D president. Kenady, Athena & Mrs. Bergin served as STAR Event volunteers. Our chapter received recognition for being active, having a large membership increase, and having a high percentage of members participating in STAR Events, and recruitment activities during rush week. Karlyn won four KS FCCLA scholarships, was awarded the District D Member of the Year Award, and presented the national report. The Gustin Family was honored as the KS FCCLA Family of the Year. Our LEO (Leadership Educational Opportunity) participants did well on their projects! Clara earned red (high honor) for her board, Kenady and Athena earned red/white (honor) on each of their two boards! And last, but not least…all five of our STAR Event participants qualified for Nationals and will be San Diego bound this summer! Congratulations Clara, Ava, Kailey, Emma, & Lucy! We are so proud of our FCCLA program, students and advisor! GO VIKINGS!
