The HS Volleyball team picked up a couple wins tonight at Northern Heights. They are in action again next Tuesday at home vs Lyndon.

In a game with a lot of big plays, the JV football team lost to Osage City, 27-46. The varsity is in action on Friday at Council Grove.

"I only applied to out of state schools, not because there was anything wrong with Kansas Schools. I had it in my head that a girl could only be independent if she traveled a significant distance away from her parents for a time. I chose Linfield College (now Linfield University) in McMinnville, Oregon. Also, I knew that my parents would be moving to Washington state the following year. Linfield has excellent study abroad opportunities. I spent a summer term and fall semester in San Jose, Costa Rica. I attended college classes there while living with a local family. I was able to learn to speak Spanish fluently and we had a lot of opportunities to explore the country. You actually learn a lot about your own country when you live in another one. The whole experience was amazing! Going to a small liberal arts college allowed me to really get to know my professors (who were all full PhDs) and gave me a well-rounded education. The JH Lady Vikings started their season off right with convincing wins by the A, B and C teams over North Lyon County! Go Vikings!
The MV Junior High football team won their first game of the season against Blue Valley Randolph 22-14! GO VIKINGS!
