The JH Volleyball game scheduled for this Thursday at MV has now moved to Central Heights due to CH not having transportation available. We understand the inconvenience but want to get the girls as many games as possible. Good Luck Lady Vikings!

HS FHL Volleyball Tournament Schedule 10-16-21
Wyatt Seastrom, a 13-year-old Harveyville, KS native bull rider represented his school Mission Valley, community and state the first week of October at the World Championship Miniature Bullriding World Finals in Mesquite, TX. This year he moved up an age division and competed against 51 other bull riders in the Sr. Mini age division. Round 1 was a little rough as he bucked off Ugly, but he came back in Round 2 making a 66-point ride on Rodeo Outlaw placing 6th for the round. That score put him 13th in the overall standings allowing him to move into the Semi-Final with the top 20 riders. In addition, he got the opportunity to go to the State Fair of Texas and ride in the BFO Bullriding event for a chance to win some extra cash. He covered his bull, won the cash, and qualified for the Hooey Jr. Patriot in March 2022. In the Semi-Finals Wyatt drew an old nemesis of his, Jumpin Jack Flash, who lives up to his name. Wyatt determined to make the Short-Go (top 10), showed his grit as he made the 8 second ride for 61 points putting him 7th in the standings. In the Short-Go he got the bull, Demon Train, who had yet to be covered in the previous rounds. Wyatt made a great effort but got bucked off. When it was all said and done, he remained 7th in the overall standing.

FAFSA Completion Made EASIER!!! The FAFSA process does not have to be difficult, and Mission Valley wants this year's seniors to have every chance at receiving financial aid. It is in your child's best interest to complete the FAFSA, even IF they do not think they will be attending a college/vo-tech/university next year. HERE IS WHY...IT IS BETTER TO HAVE IT AND NOT NEED IT, THAN NEED IT AND NOT HAVE IT. Financial aid, state grants, and loans dry up FAST!!! This is why it is vitally important to complete the FAFSA prior to mid-November 2021. Starting tomorrow, 10/12/2021, the FAFSA Made Easier Form is available to the seniors through a partnership with GoingMerry. This process is COMPLETELY FREE! The seniors have been given an assignment on Xello to complete the preliminary aspects of gathering information (found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1A9Aly-M0jvTywAjJ1t6D2W6YfmJMZndq/view?usp=sharing). You can use the FAFSA Made Easier website on GoingMerry OR you can complete the FAFSA the traditional way (BOTH WILL SUBMIT YOUR FAFSA).
