USD 330 Mission Valley wants to take time and say, "THANK YOU" to all of the men and women who have served our nation and taken the Oath to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic".
We also want to thank the men and women who attended the Veteran's Day activities this morning at Mission Valley and allowed us to show you our appreciation for the sacrifices you gave for our nation.

Reminder:
The November reward for completing your Xello work will be an early release from school on Friday, November 12th at 230pm.
If your child rides the bus and is released early please make plans to find another ride home if you would like and parents contact the office. If you wish to stay at school and ride the bus we will have activities and supervision in the main gym for those students who earned this reward.
Students that did not earn this reward will be in school like normal until 3:30pm
We will have activities in the gym for JH students and those that have to ride the bus who earned the reward.

There will be NO JH BOYS C-TEAM GAME tonight at Chase County due to Covid and injuries! So, the C-Boys will not make the trip and will need to ride the bus home after school or make other arrangements to be picked up. The boys and girls will play in separate gyms with the order of play being: South Gym (Boys): 'B', 'A'; North Gym (Girls): 'B', 'A', 'C'. Good Luck Jr. Vikings!
Eleven freshmen had a good time at the Flint Hills Tech College 'Wrangler Rally' where they got to learn about FHTC's health programs: EMT, LPN, and Dental Assisting/Hygiene. Trips like these allow the students to get more information regarding future career possibilities.



Congratulations to MV Freshman, Adaline Bloomfield in being named to the 2nd Team All-Flint Hills League Volleyball team! What a great honor for Adaline and Mission Valley!
Congratulations to the MVHS Scholars Bowl team as they took 3rd place at the MV Inv. last night. Great Job Vikes!

MVJH basketball teams competed at Osage City tonight. MV girls A team was defeated, B and C teams came home with wins. MV boys A team went into overtime and lost 44-43. The B team also lost and the C team won. Teams will play @ Chase County on Thursday.




Our October Lifters of the Month in Mr. Vanderbilt's class, are: Morgan T., Wyatt S., Joel D., Natalie P., and Carter P. Great Job Vikings!




Tomorrow is the last day for the NHS food drive. All non-perishable food items collected will benefit our community food pantries.
You still have two more days to contribute to the NHS Food Drive. The final day will be Tuesday, November 9th. The winning classes will receive a party.

Washington, D.C. has been amazing this week! Karlyn has been doing a great job with her national officer duties and we are really proud of her for representing Mission Valley so well!
In addition to the conference, Ava, Clara & Mrs. B have been able to take in some sight-seeing including:

We have conference sessions all day and then Closing Session tonight where we will find out results for our three students who competed in Skill Demonstration Events—we got word yesterday that they all three placed in the top three in the nation! Way to go Kailey, Ava & Clara!




USD 330 Mission Valley would like to take a moment to welcome our newest Board of Education members, Mr. Nick Beasterfeld & Mr. Chris Campbell. Mr. Beasterfeld and Mr. Campbell will begin their service as board members at the January 10th board meeting.
USD 330 Mission Valley would also like to express our appreciation and gratitude to our outgoing members, Mr. Jim Rudeen and Mr. Clinton Lambotte, for their many years of service and leadership as USD 330 Board of Education members. Also, a Thank You to the current board members for their continued service to the district (Mr. Jacob Durkes, Mr. Jon Deters, Mr. Clipper Goodrich, Mrs. Mistina Kraus, and Mr. Tuff Stephenson).
