Osage City Schools passed a mask mandate at their board mtg. last night, requiring all PreK-6th Grade students that enter their facilities to wear a mask. This includes activities as well. All other spectators masks are highly recommended, but not required and we ask that you social distance when possible. We ask the Mission Valley patrons follow these guidelines when visiting OC for events. Thank You!

The Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) and Kansas Commissioner of Education Dr. Randy Watson are offering parents, educators and community members a new way to stay connected to the latest pre-K-12 education news through the “Insight Podcast.” Dr. Watson is the host of these 20- to 30-minute monthly podcasts that offer highlights from Kansas State Board of Education meetings and address current education news. This new podcast enables Kansans to access education news when it’s convenient for them. It’s an easy way for parents to stay on top of the latest education news in the state, and it’s a great way for educators to hear directly from Dr. Watson. September’s podcast, “Welcome Back to School,” is chock-full of news and tidbits and even features educators from some of your districts answering the question, “What did you learn from educating during the pandemic, and how will that help you in the classroom?” Please share this new podcast with parents, educators and community members by providing a link to it in your school and district newsletters and on your social media and websites.
