
Mr. Ukens is conducting a competition for students to create our schools first flag. Entries are due by tomorrow, March 6, however, you can email him your entry. There will be several different preliminary winners from different grade sections, which will go on to the final winner. Students may use pencils, markers, crayons or paint to create their own flag design. So, get going and design our new School Flag!

Senior Picture Re-takes – 10:30 a.m. The following still need to get their senior picture taken for the wall composite: Cody McGonnell, Emma Gustin, Eric Keel, Keaton Shives and Trenton Parks. Other seniors may also get re-takes if they were not happy with their first picture.

Girls Sub-State Basketball @ Lyndon vs. Wabaunsee – 6 p.m. Lv. MV at 4:15 p.m.
Sub-State Basketball at Lyndon on Thursday & Friday. Winners from Thursday & Friday games will then play on Saturday for the Sub-State Championship and a trip to the 2A State Tournament at KSU in Manhattan.
Please remember that the basketball games are KSHSAA tournament events so passes will NOT be accepted. Admission: Adults - $7.00; K-12 - $5.00. Good Luck to all Viking teams!

Summer Drivers Ed – We will be offering Drivers Education this summer beginning July 6th at Mission Valley. Sign up on the sheet on the office counter if you are interested in taking Drivers Ed. More information to follow at a later date.
Summer Ball forms are available on the table in the commons under the TV. Deadline to sign up is March 18th.

USD 330. Parents that would like for their child to take Drivers Education this summer needs to call the High School office and get them on the sign up sheet. Sign up deadline is March 20th. Students must be promoted from the 8th grade and 14 years of age by June 1st.

Mr. Johnston, the Elementary PE teacher is kicking off the Kids Heart Challenge today. This is a fundraiser for the American Heart Association. If a student registers online by Thursday, there will be a random drawing for a Fitness Tracker.

The Mission Valley FFA had an excellent day at the East Central District Selection day. The students did an excellent job representing the Mission Valley FFA chapter and school. These students will be recognized at the district FFA banquet on April 1st and Will Blythe, will be recognized at the State FFA Convention on May 29th. Proficiency award winners will compete at the state level later this month for the chance to be named State Winner.
