Wyatt Seastrom Qualified for the 2019 American Royal Youth Rodeo Event held on September 24-27 in Kansas City, Mo. Wyatt qualified to compete in Steer Riding. During this four‐day event Seastrom will participate against top student‐athletes from across the Mid‐West in the Junior Division which is composed of athletes ages 13 and under. Wyatt will compete at noon on the 26th & 27th.

Location: To the East side of the Wabaunsee High School football field. Parking is in the football field parking lot and the High School parking lot (on the North side of 8th Street). Buses may want to drop off along 8th Street by the fairgrounds. Please set up tents on the West side of the practice football field.
Facilities: Restrooms are available at the football field, as well as a few Port-a-pots at the practice football field.
Course: Both the High School and Jr High courses will be 2-lap courses and finish on the practice football field.
Times: 4:00 – Jr High Girls 7th & 8th together (2 mile)
4:30 – Jr High Boys 7th & 8th together (2 mile)
5:00 – Girls’ Varsity & JV (5K)
5:45 – Boys’ Varsity & JV (5K)
6:30 – Awards
Awards: 15 Individual Medals in each H.S. Varsity Race

Popsicles: Every runner will get a popsicle! They can be picked up by the Wabaunsee tent. We will start handing them out during the HS Boys’ Race.

Today was Mrs. Smith's Sociology Culture Gallery Walk day! Students brought in authentic food from 10 different countries (Scotland, Italy, Brazil, Sweden, Australia, Mexico, France, Panama, China, and Greece)

Mission Valley JV FB shuts out Northern Heights, 40-0 this evening. JV is now 3-0. Go Vikes!

All money and shirt orders for the Elementary Walk-a-thon need to be turned in this Wednesday, September 25. The walk-a-thon is scheduled for this Friday, September 27th. Pre-K-2nd graders will walk from 1:00-1:45. 3rd-6th graders will walk from 2:00-2:45.
Everyone that raises at least $15.00 will receive a small prize given out during the walk. Students that raise $40.00 or more will receive a FREE t-shirt. All students who raise $80.00 or more will be entered into a drawing for a $20.00 cash prize. Also, each student who raises $100.00 or more will be entered into a drawing for a Family Pack of tickets to Sky Zone.
All money raised will help pay for playground updates and a new outdoor classroom.
Families are welcome to join their student(s) walking!

Reminder: 2019 MV Homecoming tonight vs. Northern Heights. Game starts at 7:00 p.m. Crowning of King and Queen at halftime. Tailgate sponsored by MV FFA $6 pulled pork meal. 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Yesterday was the ladies flag football game between the seniors/sophomores vs. the juniors/freshmen. The juniors/freshmen pulled out a victory with a score of 8-0, but the real winning happened with all the #vikingpride spirit that was built! Look at those stunts by the boys!

Homecoming Week activities continue with the Crimson Classic Volleyball game today. Classes compete against classes with the winning team playing for the win.
