Congratulations MV Boys Basketball for winning the 2A Semi-Finals as they beat Northern Heights , 61-50. The Vikings will play in the Championship game Saturday night @ 7:30 PM. We hope that ‘Viking Nation’ will show up to Marion and help our boys get to State!

Tonight’s Boys BB Sub-State Semi-Final game begins at 6:00 PM at the Marion Sports & Aquatic Center, @ 100 N. Thorp. Good Luck Vikings!

We had a great day and a wide variety of Silly Hair and Wacky things happening in honor of Dr. Seuss week.



Mrs. Smith's 7th Hr American History classes 'digs deep' into World War I w/their own version of trench warfare. This is a project-based learning assignment that helps the students understand logistics, accountability, & key concepts about WWI.

Elementary Spring Picture Day is coming next Tuesday, March 5th. Order forms have been sent home with students, so please check book bags for the forms. If you would like an individual picture there is a spot on the form to select your background preference. Pictures will be sent home to review and purchase when they come in. MV Girls Basketball season came to an end tonight, as they lose a hard fought battle to Hillsboro, 42-53. Great Effort Lady Vikes!

MV’s Boys Basketball won their first round Sub-State game against Herington on 2/25, 66-14. The boys will play in the Semi-Finals this Thursday at 6:00 vs. Northern Heights tournament host, Marion HS. Good Luck Vikings!

Congratulations to our Elementary Student Ambassadors: Sam Bryan, Ian Deters, Piper Brobst, Ryleigh Coyle, Joel Johnston, Keegan Hoelting, Holden Urton, and Hunter Christiansen. The Student Ambassador program is a new program that is designed to develop leaders within the classroom and school. Ambassadors were selected after reviewing applications submitted by students in grades 2-5. Each Ambassador will perform their leadership duties for a semester.
