We had our annual Halloween parade for the elementary today. There were some great costumes!

🎃 Mission Valley Correctional Facility: Special Ed Division 🎃 This Halloween, our paras and aides found themselves behind bars, while the special ed teachers and interventionist took charge as the prison wardens! 👮‍♀️ The charges? 🚨 Excessive use of glitter 🚨 Unauthorized broomstick parking 🚨 Goose napping (repeat offenders 🪿) 🚨 Habitual apologizing 🚨 Failing to “keep it real” Don’t worry — their sentence includes daily cookie privileges and unlimited laughs! 🍪😂 Just another day with the Mission Valley Special Ed crew… where teaching can be downright criminal!

Morning PreK had their parade this morning. The rest of the elementary will have theirs this afternoon.

Yesterday in fourth grade, we had a Starbucks day. We did math, science, and writing activities that were Starbucks themed. Lots of coffee related things. The reason we did it was because they have been working on writing poems and they had to present their poems as if they were at a poetry slam at Starbucks. So students wrote poems about someone that inspires them and they had to present those yesterday and then we had a bunch of treats to celebrate.

Our HS football team travels to Rossville on Friday. Go Vikings!

FCS classes completed their annual Halloween Cookie Decorating Contest last week. Staff and students voted for their favorites and the results are in! 1st place—Annie Bryan 2nd place—Addi Zabokrtsky 3rd place—Keagan Kraus Congratulations!

StuCo hosted a Fall Kids Canvas Night last night.

Our cross country runners competed on a wet and muddy course at Marion today for Regionals.

Our HS KAYs members went down and did pumpkin decorating with the kindergarten today!
