The week of March 2nd, 2nd grader Caroline Myers won Artist of the Week, put on by Artsonia! Caroline received the most votes out of students in her PK-3rd grade age category.
Students learned about "concentric" circles, which is where all your circles start at the center. We then used stencils and black markers to trace out circles on our paper, and color them in with markers. Ms. Fischer then cut everyone's square paper into fourths. Students then re-oriented their four squares on a piece of black paper to give it a "matted" effect.
Artsonia, for those of you who aren't aware, is a website that helps parents stay connected with the art their students are making and learning about before it gets home. You can connect with your student by going to artsonia.com and entering our school code and selecting your student: Y7NS97NP
