Our Regional Baseball games originally scheduled to be played at Rossville will be played at Silver Lake instead due to field conditions.

Congratulations to our softball team on their win over St. Marys in the first round of regionals! Mission Valley will be hosting the semifinals and championship game on Wednesday.

Game 3 - Championship
Games 2 and 3 will start approximately 25 minutes after the previous game.

Our baseball team is scheduled to play at Rossville against Sacred Heart at 2:00 on Tuesday. If Rossville gets too much rain, the games will move to Silver Lake.
We will send out information when that decision is made.

Viking Family----Here is information from SNCO regarding road maintenance that may impact those who travel 53rd street.
Mission Township will be closing SW 53rd Street at SW Hoch Road and at SW 57th Street/SW Valencia Road beginning Tuesday, May 26, 2026, weather permitting.
The closure is necessary for Schmidtlein Excavating to replace a culvert near 10042 SW 53rd Street.
The road will remain closed to through traffic until the project is complete.
No signed detours will be provided. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and should plan for possible delays in the area.
Mission Township apologizes for any inconvenience this project may cause and appreciates the public’s patience during the improvement work.

The facility will be open at 10:30. We do not anticipate being able to offer concessions at this time.
We will play St. Marys at 12:00 and McLouth will play Valley Heights at 2:00.

Due to the incoming weather on Monday, wanting to give parents and patrons time to adjust to the change and out of abundance of caution, our regional softball game against St Marys is being moved to Envista Field #1 and being played at 12:00 on Monday instead of at Mission Valley at 5:30.

Viking Family----While the 8th Grade class was on their annual Worlds of Fun trip today, USD 330 took advantage of this time and cleared out their lockers. Due to a biological hazards caused by an uneaten bologna sandwiches and gym socks left in the lockers, USD 330 had to call in a HAZMAT team to have it removed. Today, we are hosting the Flint Hills League track meet with pole vault at 1:30 and the rest of the field events starting at 2:00.
FCCLA with be selling Chick-fil-A under the pavilion for a fundraiser to help pay for nationals.
We will also have the Kona Ice truck here and Emily Miles will be selling assorted drinks as well.

Today was elementary STEM Day. One of the stations was flying kites.

Mr. Clark bought the workout for Mr. Heath at the carnival and yesterday was the day.
Mr. Clark said he would match what he paid for every student that joined in.
Wyatt Whitten is signing up for the Marine Corps poolee program this weekend, so he joined in. Darrell Garza also joined in.








Friday, we will be hosting the HS Flint Hills League track meet. Field events will begin at 2:00 with the exception of pole vault starting earlier.

With postseason events starting later this week, we wanted to put out some information for parents and patrons.
Regionals for baseball, softball and track will have an admission fee of $8 for adults and $6 for students.
For state, the admission fee is $10 for everyone with the exception of Pre-K and younger being allowed to get in free.
Thursday, our baseball team plays at home against McLouth for the first round of regionals. The game is scheduled to start at 5:00 pm. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for students.
