Our MV Student Council Organization hosted a Trunk or Treat event called The Jack-O-Lantern-Jam last night and it was a great success. Over 100 trick-or-treaters made an appearance throughout the evening. Thank you to all of those who volunteered to make this a fun night for our communities! ONWARD VIKINGS ONWARD!

Parents/Guardians of 6th, 8th, 10th, & 12th Graders: MV will be administering the Kansas Communities That Care survey to the 6th, 8th, 10th, and 12th Graders, with your approval, on 12/4/2023. The KCTC will help the community & the school get a better understanding of how we can better help the children within our district. MVE invites you to attend the Halloween parade & class parties tomorrow (Tuesday) beginning at 2:30 pm. Students will parade through the halls for our 7-12 students and staff and then parade in the North gym for families and community members. Class parties will follow.
Students please feel free to dress up at school tomorrow for Halloween! Remember that no masks or costume props will be allowed.

Good Luck to our Mission Valley FFA organization as they head to Indianapolis for the 2023 National FFA Convention.
We have 19 students traveling to compete in the National Parliamentary Law Procedures Team competition, the National Conduct of Chapter Meetings Team competition, and the National Forestry Team competition.
We gave them a great school spirit send-off earlier today!

Due to low participation in the MVE After School Program, it has been decided to discontinue the program. Friday, November 3 will be the last day of the program. If your family has a remaining balance, a note was sent home today. We appreciate the support of those that participated and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
It was a brisk high five Friday this morning, but our football team and cheerleaders wouldn't miss it for the world.

On Friday, November 10, Mission Valley Elementary School will celebrate Veterans Day with a school assembly at 9:00 AM. The program will consist of individual recognition of the veterans present, students singing patriotic songs, and more. If you have any family or friends who are veterans, please invite them to our Veterans Day program. We would be honored by their attendance and we would appreciate the opportunity to express our gratitude for their service and/or continued service. A veteran is defined as anyone who has completed Basic Training (Active, Reserves, or National Guard). We consider them a veteran if they are still serving or have served.
Additionally, please click the link to this event under Elementary Updates on the school website, and complete the RSVP form if you are a veteran and plan on attending the ceremony and reception in your honor.
