On 11/8/23, MVHS hosted the ApplyKansas event for the seniors. Seniors created their FSAID (Federal Student Aid ID) in preparation for the FAFSA completion in January 2024. There were college admission reps on site from Emporia State, Kansas City Kansas Community College, Washburn-Tech, and Neosho Community College to assist the students who completed applications for the many different colleges and vo-tech schools. ApplyKansas also covers applications for careers and military service. MVHS had recruiters from the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Air Force on-site to assist students with career and college readiness decision-making. #VikingReadiness #VikingFutures #VikingCareers #ApplyKS #KBOR #AimHighFlyFightWin #SemperFidelis

Viking Families:
Don't forget to cast your ballot tomorrow in the November 7th general election. For registered voters that live in the USD 330 school district you will have the opportunity to cast your vote for those who you feel will best represent your interest in Mission Valley Schools. USD 330 utilizes Voting Plan "B" which allows all registered voters of the district to vote for all positions in the general election and not just in the sub-district that the registered voter resides.
Your elected local school board members essentially have three jobs.
1) Approve then annual operating budget and approve the payment of bills
2) Responsible to set policies and goals of which the district operates
3) Hire, manage, and evaluate the superintendent
Your vote can play a major impact in the leadership on the Board of Education. Please take time tomorrow and cast your vote on all the local election races that are happening across the area.
