MVHS students got to tour the Washburn Tech Cosmetology school today. This allowed the students to review future career options within the cosmetology/esthetician career fields. Afterwards, they got the privilege to sit down for a Q&A session at Create Hair Studio. They spoke with Mrs. Kim Clark, Ms. Destiny Clark, and Ms. Sydney Elizabeth to learn more about specialties and what it takes to be successful in this competitive field. #MVfutures #MVcareers

Monday, we will play Hayden in JV baseball at 4:00 at Mission Valley.
Thursday, we will play Chase County at 3:00 instead of 4:00 at Cottonwood Falls.
Viking Family---On April 8th the USD 330 Board of Education approved the hiring of the new 7-12 Principal for the 2024-2025 school year. Mission Valley would like to extend a warm welcome to Mr. Andrew Singleton and his wife Hannah, as well as their two boys James & Logan.
Mr. Singleton is a 2009 graduate of Mission Valley Valley High School. He has worked for 10 years at USD 450 Shawnee Heights as a teacher, instructional coach, and administrator. Mr. Singleton is looking forward to walking alongside the students, staff, parents and patrons of Mission Valley to support their needs and to build a strong partnership with all Viking stakeholders. . Mr. Singleton prides himself as having a history of being innovative and addressing today's problems with new ideas.

Allen Community College (ACC) was on campus today providing a 'new student' orientation for 2024-25 Sophomores and Juniors at MVHS. The students learned how to log-in and navigate the ACC MyAllen page, the CANVAS online academic portal, & were taught how to navigate individual online classes they will have next fall. Certain students were provided assistance in the application process, & the other students were then enrolled in the fall course the selected on their course planner.
