On Friday, November 10, Mission Valley Elementary School will celebrate Veterans Day with a school assembly at 9:00 AM. The program will consist of individual recognition of the veterans present, students singing patriotic songs, and more. If you have any family or friends who are veterans, please invite them to our Veterans Day program. We would be honored by their attendance and we would appreciate the opportunity to express our gratitude for their service and/or continued service. A veteran is defined as anyone who has completed Basic Training (Active, Reserves, or National Guard). We consider them a veteran if they are still serving or have served.
Additionally, please click the link to this event under Elementary Updates on the school website, and complete the RSVP form if you are a veteran and plan on attending the ceremony and reception in your honor.

Also, school districts in Kansas and other states who use Google were contacted by Google and informed that we are to get consent from parents for their child(ren) to utilize Google services as part of their Google Education Account at the school. You will be asked to sign the consent while at the school for parent-teacher conferences. For additional information please click on the following link https://5il.co/277ip This link will provide you a sample of the consent as well as information from Google. This consent does not alter anything that USD 330 Mission Valley has been doing since beginning to use Google Education Accounts. We look forward to seeing everyone at Parent-Teacher conferences........GO VIKINGS!

VIKING FAMILY----October 16th-20th is recognized as National School Bus Safety Week. A large number of American kids have iconic memories of riding the big yellow bus back and forth to school every day throughout childhood. School buses have been around in the United States for about a century, originally a program that was created to provide children in rural areas with an opportunity to attend school.
Today, almost a half a million of these yellow school buses run every day throughout the year, providing transport to more than 25 million students. In USD 330 Mission Valley our buses and vans run more than 500 miles/day transporting over 200 students each day. National School Bus Safety Week is here to raise awareness and show appreciation for the opportunity these big yellow buses provide.
If you see a USD 330 bus driver or other transportation employee give them a big high five, fist bump, or even just a warm THANK YOU for the services they provide day in and day out for our VIKING FAMILY.
USD 330 is taking applications for substitute drivers so feel free to contact the district office if you would like to join a great team of transportation professionals.
GO VIKINGS
