VIKING FAMILY----October 16th-20th is recognized as National School Bus Safety Week. A large number of American kids have iconic memories of riding the big yellow bus back and forth to school every day throughout childhood. School buses have been around in the United States for about a century, originally a program that was created to provide children in rural areas with an opportunity to attend school.
Today, almost a half a million of these yellow school buses run every day throughout the year, providing transport to more than 25 million students. In USD 330 Mission Valley our buses and vans run more than 500 miles/day transporting over 200 students each day. National School Bus Safety Week is here to raise awareness and show appreciation for the opportunity these big yellow buses provide.
If you see a USD 330 bus driver or other transportation employee give them a big high five, fist bump, or even just a warm THANK YOU for the services they provide day in and day out for our VIKING FAMILY.
USD 330 is taking applications for substitute drivers so feel free to contact the district office if you would like to join a great team of transportation professionals.
GO VIKINGS
