Viking Family.........Construction continues to move along on multiple phases of the facility project. Crews are currently working on finishing up the demolition phase of the Agriculture Education building and beginning to add back where the new walls for the renovated classrooms will go, they are also beginning the longer process of building the new Career & Technical Education wing, as well as making progress on the new Oberhelman Family Field and track. Feel free to drop by the school and drive around the building to see the progress of contraction.

Viking Family----We would like to share that USD 330 Mission Valley recently received word from KSDE that the district has successfully completed the requirements for the status of ACCREDIATED in the Kansas Education System Accreditation, as granted by the Kansas State Board of Education.
"Accredited" means that USD 330 Mission Valley is in good standings (compliance) with the State Board of Education, and that MV has provided conclusive evidence of growth in student performance. In addition, MV has provided conclusive evidence of an intentional, quality growth process.
The steps to earn accreditation has been a 5+ year process which has taken hours and hours of gathering data & feedback, organizing the information, planning, preparation, and presentation of our KESA plan to various stakeholders. USD 330 Mission Valley would like to express our gratitude to all the building administration and staff who has worked on this project.

The Kansas City Symphony used Mission Valley as a staging area as they prepared to get ready to finish their drive, led by WabCo Sheriff Dept, to provide the music and the sounds for Symphony In the Flint Hills tonight SW of Eskridge.

Viking Family----The weather finally cooperated this week and crews were back at it preparing the Oberhelman Family Field for the installation of turf. As they wrap-up doing the dirt work on the field the next step is to start pouring concrete for the inside curb of the new all-weather track. Heavy equipment crews will begin dirt work on the new softball and baseball fields in the next 1-2 weeks.
Everything is currently still on-track for a substantial completion date of August 15th for the football field and track.

Mission Valley FFA received Double State Champion honors in the parliamentary procedure competition at the Kansas State FFA Convention! State Champions in the Novice Division and State Champion Parlaw Team!! Both teams will be headed to nationals this fall! Congratulations MV FFA and advisors!!
Mission Valley has been selected as a "All-Star High School" in the State of Kansas. MV is one of 96 other schools that were bestowed this honor. To be awarded, MV had to host an 'Apply-KS' event, a FAFSA event, & promoted college signing days for seniors. #MVfutures #student1st
