Update on the basketball games at Waverly
Due to some illness/injuries, Waverly is only able to play 2 quarters of JV girls and 2 quarters of JV boys. The JV girls game will start at 4:30 and everything will be played in one gym.

The Mission Valley FFA Blood drive is coming up on Wednesday, February 22nd from 1:00pm-5:30p.m. They will begin setting up at 11:30am in the South Gym.
Viking Family---Due to the forecasted weather conditions for later tonight and tomorrow morning, USD 330 will not be in session on Thursday, February 16th. All activities and events have been cancelled. USD 330 is expected to resume on Friday, February 17th.

Some MV Freshmen got to attend the 3rd session of the Flint Hills Tech College "Wrangler Rally" today at the FHTC campus. The purpose is to introduce students to programs that Vo-Tech's offer so that the students can make better college/career ready decisions. The students toured the Division of Industrial Arts: Welding, Automotive Tech, Machining Tech, Industrial Engineering, & Powerplant Tech. #MVFutures #MVCareers

Drivers Education Sign-Up season is here!
Please have your student sign up in the office, or contact the office for us to add his/her name to the list.
Our parent and student meeting will be held on March 22nd @5:30pm at the school. The student AND parent must attend this meeting in order to take Drivers Education and sign up for a time slot to drive.
We have 35 slots available at this time.
Please contact Mr. Vanderbilt with any questions.
The HS girls basketball team won the league regular season and league tournament. (T-shirt order form attached).

Next week is Family Conference Week at Mission Valley! We will be having our Spring Family Conferences on Wednesday and Thursday, February 22nd-23rd at 4pm-8pm.

The HS basketball teams travel to Burlingame tomorrow. The JV games will both be 2 quarters starting at 4:45 with the varsity games following approximately 5:45.
Burlingame's PTO is also doing a fundraiser (flyer attached).

Our super talented Golden Girls and Crimson Crew hosted some Junior High Dancers this week and put on a great performace together!

Mission Valley FFA Members receive SAE Grants.
This past fall, Mission Valley had 8 students go above and beyond to fill out the National FFA SAE grant application The SAE Grant is designed to help FFA members create or enhance their supervised agricultural experience (SAE). The SAE’s are a requirement that all agricultural education students must complete. SAE’s help to build life-long skills such as hard work, dedication, responsibility, financial & time management. Congratulations to these members on receiving these awards.
Mission Valley had 2 FFA members who each received a $1,000 SAE grant through the National FFA Foundation.
