Viking Families-----IT IS HERE---The Start of the 2023-2024 School Year!!! As all of you are aware the weather forecasted for the next couple days will continue to be excessively hot. All students are permitted to have personal water bottles, however, we do ask that if your child rides the bus that they have a water bottle. Mission Valley will have bottles of water available for student riding the bus after school. Parents/Guardians may also transport their child(ren) to and from school but need to follow the pick-up/drop off guidelines. For morning drop-offs and afternoon pick-ups please feel free to use Bodark Rd, however, we ask that anyone visiting the school during the day enter the school facility at the main entrance as there will be construction vehicles utilizing Bodark Rd. throughout the day. We are excited to get the year kicked off and are looking forward to seeing all the familiar and new faces tomorrow. GO VIKINGS

VIKING FAMILY---This morning at 9:16 a.m. information was released from local news media that Rural Water District #8 has issued a boil water advisory. The school does receive water from RWD #8, however, the source of where the school receives its water is NOT the same source that is impacted. I have spoken to representatives from RWD #8 and the WabCo Health Dept. and have been informed that the school is not in the impacted area and does not need to take any precautions or alter our daily operations.
