Seniors/Senior's Parents & Guardians: The 2025 Mission Valley Senior College/Career Signing Day is on April 22, 2025 from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. in the north gymnasium. This day is a day for you/your student, your family, and the rest of the school to help you celebrate your post-secondary educational decision. You can participate through a letter-of-intent with a specific college's athletic department, participate by signing your intent to a specific college, or by showing your commitment to a specific military branch or employer all on the same day at the same location!

Our baseball team plays at Admire on Monday against Northern Heights.
Our softball team will be at Tonganoxie on Monday. The softball games will be played at the Leavenworth County Fairgrounds in Tonganoxie. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for children, cash only.

Congratulations to Porter Deters!
2-1A Player to Watch: Porter Deters of Mission Valley is a name we’ve mentioned across the board as a four sport athlete that gets it done in many ways. Deters has made our All-State list all three years of his baseball career thus far and is ready to have a big senior season. As a junior Deters hit .614 with 32 RBI’s and only 2 strike outs on the year. He also holds the state record for stolen bases in a season with 64 in his junior year. In his career he has batted .502 with 139 stolen bases which is a state record for stolen bases in a career and he still has a season left to play. Deters has also been a 1st Team All-State pick the last two seasons for football and a 3x State qualifier in track while also competing in basketball. Mission Valley was the 2-1A State Champions in 2022 and finished 24-4 last season as state runner ups. Deters is ready to get Mission Valley back to that title game saying, “I’m ready to help my team the best I can, and to help put us in the best position I can and help lead my team back to the state tournament in hopes to win a state championship.” #sportsinkansas

The Cold Weather Rule ends on Monday, March 31. The Cold Weather Rule protects residential customers, served by KCC regulated utilities, from disconnection when temperatures are forecast to drop below 35 degrees.
In addition, Monday is the deadline to apply for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program, known as LIEAP. Applications for the federally funded program must be received by the Kansas Department of Children and Families by 5 p.m. on Monday.
