Hey Vikings! This is a very busy week, as we have 3 games! On Tuesday, we play at Wabaunsee! The theme is YELLOW OUT to support suicide prevention. On Thursday we have our Winter Royalty! We play Council Grove and our theme is JERSEY NIGHT! Finally, on Friday we play Marais Des Cygnes Valley at home! Our theme is going to be "LOVE YOUR VIKINGS"! Wear your crimson and gold attire!

Students who are interested in visiting Fort Riley, Kansas to learn more about the U.S. Army and Army National Guard need to see Mr. Hancock. A 'Student Life & Academic Skills Group Training' will start meeting with Mr. Hancock, in his office, on March 2, 2020. This group will be from 6-8 weeks long and meet on Monday's during lunch hours. If you are interested, please see Mr. Hancock. ACT and ACT Work Keys will be administered on 2/25/2020 and 2/26/2020 for ALL juniors. Pre-Test administration will be on 2/21/2020. Mr. Hancock will contact each student to inform you of testing sites and times. The After Prom Jersey Auction will be on Wednesday, Feb. 12th at 2:45 p.m. Boys and girls jerseys will be auctioned. Make sure you bring money if you plan to bid. Players make sure to bring your jerseys! H.S. basketball and wrestling picture orders can be picked up in the office between classes or during your lunch period. Winter Royalty T-shirt order forms are due with your money by Friday. One of our candidates will be competing in Girls Regional Wrestling on Friday, so the crowning of King and Queen will be during half time of the HS boys basketball game on Thursday, February 13. The game Thursday is a make up game with Council Grove. Games start at 4:45 pm.​ The game Friday will be against Marais des Cygnes Valley and will continue as scheduled. Go Vikings! Mission Valley HS Forensics team had a great day today! Maranda Kealy placed 2nd in Poetry and 4th in Serious Solo. Tyler Coursen place 4th in Poetry. Also, congratulations go out to Maranda Kealy for qualifying for State in Poetry! Go Vikings!

Congratulations to MVHS Wrestlers on their performance at Silver Lake today! Nolan Parker took 1st. Shelby Kesler placed 2nd in the Girls division while Justice Dunbar placed 5th. Caleb Lisk and Colby Hinck took 6th and Laken Lewis placed 3rd in JV.

Group skills training on 'Academics and Life Skills' for students grades 7-12 starting 3/2/20. This group will meet in Mr. Hancock's office (specific times to be announced). If you are interested in self-improvement in school or life, please contact Mr. Hancock & get signed up!
