Students/Parents: If K-State is a destination college & if you meet the eligibility criteria found in this grant, then you could have your entire tuition at K-State paid! Qualifications are: (1) You must be Pell Grant eligible or show a household income of $60,000 or less. (2) You must file your FAFSA by the priority date [December 1, 2022]. MV FCCLA officer team wrapped up their time at the annual Take AIM Conference today. Ava & her peer education teammates led a workshop and all members attended workshops and training throughout the day. Ava and Clara also presented about their previous competitive events during the adviser session. Way to go FCCLA!
The Lady Vikings high school volleyball team will play at Council Grove on Tuesday starting at 5:00. This will be our first league action and the first action for our JV and C teams.

VIKING FAMILY----If you were not able to return your 2022 Mission Valley Bond Election Ballot remember that IT IS NOT TOO LATE. You can still deliver by hand your ballot to the Wabaunsee County Courthouse. You can drop it off at the County Clerk's office or you can use the drop box at the Court House but it needs to be there NO LATER than 12:00 p.m. (Noon) tomorrow, August 30th.
Question---Did you know that you can also help out a neighbor and deliver theirs as well? Answer---Yes, you can deliver up to 9 other ballots plus your own. Everyone just needs to remember to sign the outside of their sealed ballot.

The Mission Valley Lady Vikes competed in Alma at the Wabaunsee Tournament today. They had several close matches. Their next action is Tuesday at Council Grove.

ACT District Testing will occur on November 1, 2022. If you would like your 9th-12th Grade student to participate in this testing during school, please have them sign up on the roster outside of Mr. Hancock's office. This test is not FREE. This test is discounted down to around $48 (compared to the regular $56), and all payments for this test will need to go to Marlene at the HS office.
Mission Valley Football is hosting Northern Heights, Olpe, and Osage City for our Jamboree tonight! GO VIKINGS!

The last recommended day to return your ballot by mail is TOMORROW, August 26th. If you are unable to get it in the mail tomorrow then it is recommended to have it hand delivered to the WabCo Courthouse NO LATER that NOON on TUESDAY, AUGUST 30TH.

FFA will be having a meal deal at the football jamboree tomorrow. It will be a cheeseburger or pulled pork sandwich, chips and a drink for $5. We will serve until we run out.
HS volleyball plays at the Wabaunsee Tournament in Alma on Saturday starting at 9 am.

We've got a lot of athletic events coming up in the next few days. HS and JH volleyball scrimmage tomorrow starting at 5:00. HS football has their Jamboree at 4:00 on Friday and cross country has time trials at 9:00 am on Saturday.

Viking Families----The Count Down is on!!!! In 7 days we will know the outcome of the 2022 USD 330 Bond Election. We urge all registered voters of USD 330 Mission Valley to return their ballot by the August 30th Noon deadline.
Remind your friends, Remind your neighbors, Remind your spouse that ALL ballots must be received by the Wabaunsee County Courthouse by noon on August 30th. THIS INCLUDES ballots that are mailed in.
To help ensure delivery by the August 30th noon deadline please have your ballots in the mail by Friday, August 26th. You can also hand deliver your ballots to the Wabaunsee County Courthouse.
NO BALLOTS RECEIVED AFTER NOON ON AUGUST 30TH WILL BE ELIGIBLE TO BE COUNTED!

Parents/Guardians of Seniors: MVHS will be hosting a FAFSA training and completion event on 10/17/2022 from 6p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The FAFSA (Free Application to Federal Student Aid) is available starting 10/1/2022, but if you have never completed one the process can seem overwhelming. The FAFSA training event will help you answer some of those questions as well as provide you with a resource 'tool' that is offered for Free here at MVHS This 'tool' provides a very simplified and 'easy' FAFSA Completion experience.
