Students/Parents: If K-State is a destination college & if you meet the eligibility criteria found in this grant, then you could have your entire tuition at K-State paid! Qualifications are: (1) You must be Pell Grant eligible or show a household income of $60,000 or less. (2) You must file your FAFSA by the priority date [December 1, 2022]. (3) You must be a Kansas resident living in a qualifying county (Wabaunsee is a qualified county). MV FCCLA officer team wrapped up their time at the annual Take AIM Conference today. Ava & her peer education teammates led a workshop and all members attended workshops and training throughout the day. Ava and Clara also presented about their previous competitive events during the adviser session. Way to go FCCLA!

VIKING FAMILY----If you were not able to return your 2022 Mission Valley Bond Election Ballot remember that IT IS NOT TOO LATE. You can still deliver by hand your ballot to the Wabaunsee County Courthouse. You can drop it off at the County Clerk's office or you can use the drop box at the Court House but it needs to be there NO LATER than 12:00 p.m. (Noon) tomorrow, August 30th. Question---Did you know that you can also help out a neighbor and deliver theirs as well? Answer---Yes, you can deliver up to 9 other ballots plus your own. Everyone just needs to remember to sign the outside of their sealed ballot. ACT District Testing will occur on November 1, 2022. If you would like your 9th-12th Grade student to participate in this testing during school, please have them sign up on the roster outside of Mr. Hancock's office. This test is not FREE. This test is discounted down to around $48 (compared to the regular $56), and all payments for this test will need to go to Marlene at the HS office.

We've got a lot of athletic events coming up in the next few days. HS and JH volleyball scrimmage tomorrow starting at 5:00. HS football has their Jamboree at 4:00 on Friday and cross country has time trials at 9:00 am on Saturday. Go Vikings!

We urge all registered voters of USD 330 Mission Valley to return their ballot by the August 30th Noon deadline. Parents/Guardians of Seniors: MVHS will be hosting a FAFSA training and completion event on 10/17/2022 from 6p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The FAFSA (Free Application to Federal Student Aid) is available starting 10/1/2022, but if you have never completed one the process can seem overwhelming. The FAFSA training event will help you answer some of those questions as well as provide you with a resource 'tool' that is offered for Free here at MVHS This 'tool' provides a very simplified and 'easy' FAFSA Completion experience.
